Laigh Glenmuir Extension
ATH Resources commenced a public consultation exercise during the months of March to May to inform the local community and key stakeholders about the proposed extension to Laigh Glenmuir Surface Coal mine onto an area known as Duncanziemere. A total of 650 public information leaflets were sent to the communities of Lugar and Logan and the surrounding area.
A Public exhibition was held on 15th April at Lugar bowling club to provide information about the proposals. Representatives of ATH Resources were available on the day to answer any queries regarding the proposed extension.
A planning application has now been submitted to East Ayrshire Council, a copy of the Non-Technical Summary can be found in the link below.
