We are currently looking to recruit a suitably experienced Buyer / Storeman for our Ayrshire region.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Manager the successful candidate will work in partnership with the Group Buyer and will be responsible for the purchasing system in Ayrshire. This will include raising orders, checking the progress of deliveries, order approvals, delivery acceptance, receipting goods, distribution of orders, querying invoices, requisitions and returning non-required goods. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of stock stores (PPE and plant equipment) including accountability for stock replenishment.
Responsibilities also extend to general office maintenance and successful candidates will therefore require experience of administration related responsibilities such as filing, telephone answering, message taking, post distribution, emailing etc.
Applicants will have an ability to think logically, with a professional approach and a high degree of attention to detail. The ability to multi task, prioritise and work to deadlines is essential.
